Platforms...

Versace Platforms 2010
The ugly or "humble" platforms I had mentioned

Platform shoes had some humble beginnings. But, like most great things, they had to start somewhere... I'm not sure why I feel as though THIS is what im going to talk about this fine day but, I felt that it was important to show the world that platforms have changed. They used to be... well... Quite hideous if you ask me...But without a start, there would be no progression or change. Platforms originally started because the women of Japan in the 18th century had their expensive Kimonos... And dirt, mud, and ground. They created them so that the expensive and beautiful pieces of clothing would not become dirty or drag along the ground. Now, they are meant for a little thing called fashion. As the decades go on, Heels get higher, and Chiropractors become more expensive. So instead of making the foot bend until its almost at a 90 degree angle, Make the heel higher, but bring the ground with it. (If that makes any sense at all...) And even if you don't wear heels, or platforms for that matter, Its always fun to watch people fall in them.
